Vaidic Gurukul

Reviving the guru-shishya tradition — where the Vedas live on in young voices.

Since 1981

The Vedas, in their pristine purity

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has been passionately involved in preserving and promoting the glory of Vedic education. With the vision to maintain the Vedic tradition for generations to come, Gurudev established the first Veda School in Bangalore in 1981.

Here, Veda students learn both the Vedas and modern science. Over the years, a number of Vaidic Pathshalas have been instituted across India — today there are six Veda Pathshalas, each under the supervision of Veda scholars.
